Day whatever

Oddly enough, this is a huge upgrade. I was doing 14.4k for weeks. Google page creator does not work at 14.4k.

There just doesnt seem to be any broadband available here. No cable. No DSL. No 802.11. No GSM-based. It is back to dialup. I havent used dialup since ISDN was available.

Lots of stuff has happened since my last update... though none of it really worth giving excruciating details here. I have a hunch no one really cares about my little house projects.

I have to say, pretirement agrees with me. I don't know how long I can afford it, but I could do this the rest of my life. A day of chopping wood beats a day behind a desk doing useless things. At the end of the day, you are tired and there is a big pile of visibile progress -- as opposed to being bored with a big pile of nothing to show for it.

I am not sure if I can ever go back to the drudge of an office. Oh, sure I could if I had to, but I really have to think up something that makes a little moneywithout working for "the man" -- or even for "the chick." It doesnt have to be much: if I could just work enough to pay for house-building... I think I could make it.

If anyone has a rode hard, put away wet, $20 lawnmower, let me know. I have pounded my current $20 lawnmower into the dirt. I'll trade you a broken chainsaw for it.
